The biggest cycling stars at Tour of Croatia: International cycling race Tour of Croatia will be held from April 18th to 23 2017, starting in Osijek. Teams of the highest rank of UCI classification and some of the world’s biggest cycling stars will compete in six stages. The Tour of Croatia is a men’s cycling stage race that takes place in Croatia. It is part of the UCI Europe Tour and is rated by the UCI as a 2.1 event, the third tier of professional stage races. The race takes place in April in the build-up to the Giro d’Italia. In April 2015, the first edition of the race consisted of five stages. It was won by Maciej Paterski, a Polish cyclist, and in 2016. Croatian Matija Kvasina.
Arena of Tour of Croatia is the entire country; the race is held at more than 1000 kilometres, including 12 host cities, and passing through more than 100 different sites, with more than 500 minutes of live TV broadcast. With the start in Osijek and grand finale in Zagreb, Tour of Croatia is live broadcasted by HRT (Croatian National Television) and Eurosport, and many other TV stations on 6 continents – Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. - 1st stage on Tuesday – 18th April 2017 – from Osijek to Koprivnica: distance 227 km
- 2nd stage on Wednesday – 19th April 2017 – from Trogir to the top of the mountain Biokovo (Sv. Jure): distance 123 km
- 3rd stage on Thursday – 20th April 2017: from Imotski to Zadar: distance: 237 km
- 4th stage on Friday – 21st April 2017 from Crikvenica to Umag: distance 171 km
- 5th stage on Saturday – 22nd April 2017 from Porec to Ucka (Poklon): distance 141 km
- 6th stage on Sunday – 23rd April 2017 from Samobor to Zagreb: distance 147 km
